Salt crystal lamps are made from salt crystal rocks formed by nature hundreds of millions of years ago and mined hundreds of yards underground from the World's tallest mountains, The Himalayas. A salt lamp is simply a chunk of mined salt that has been hollowed out to allow room for a light bulb or tiny candle. The light glows through the medium of the salt crystal.
